GAIA (CHARACter SHEET)
The character sheet began as a simple doodle and evolved into GAIA—a hybrid of animal and woman. Through expressive design, this character helped me explore and establish a visual language that blends earth, femininity, and maternity, setting the tone for the conceptual animation.

This project began with a character sheet—what started as a loose doodle evolved into a fully realized design: a powerful female figure rooted in nature, with leaf-like hair and lion-inspired movements. The sheet became the foundation for everything that followed, guiding the tone, personality, and motion of the final animation.
Through the character sheet, I explored the balance between strength and grace. Each element—from her grounded stance to the animalistic facial expressions—was informed by real-world animal studies, particularly lions and tigers. Using Sketchpad, I developed a full lineup, a detailed expression sheet, and dynamic poses that captured her essence.
The character sheet wasn’t just a reference—it became a blueprint for storytelling. It allowed me to translate emotion and intention into movement, eventually leading to an animated action sequence that brings her roar to life.
